You will receive a warm welcome at this fully centrally heated 17th Century Country Inn with rooms.  Only a mile away from the A40 near to Goodrich Castle and the infamous Coppett Hill in the Wye Valley, known as an area of outstanding natural beauty.  Forest of Dean, rural Herefordshire and Wales are only a few miles away.  Our extensive food menu changes with the seasons and locally sourced produce is used and presented to rosette standard, all cooked fresh to order.  Enjoy sipping a glass of wine from our extensive French and World wines.  We support Herefordshire's beer and cider making culture and our membership with Cask Marque guarantees you great ale.  The bar is an old fashioned country inn, steeped in history with many old photo's of the area.  Our corridors and large elegant restaurant walls are adorned with local artists work, available for sale.  We have a bustling village community that often uses the 'Till' to meet (the local nickname for us).  We actively promote local talent in both our restaurant and bar areas to entertain our guests....a sociable bunch, we hope you will occasionally join us.   Why not enjoy the full experience for longer and stay a while in one of our eight rooms with courtesy tray, en-suite bathroom, free-view television at B&B or dinner, bed and breakfast rates. Free Wi-fi and ample car parking is available.  We have a large garden and secure lock-up for bikes, fishing gear and even space for a few canoes.  We also serve coffee and cream teas and even prepare packed lunches on request. Red Lion at Peterstow
Currently under new management - so few details of the current offerings.
The Red Lion was delicensed in the 1970s, but reverted a few years later.  A single bar serves an extensive drinking and dining area, including a large raodside conservatory  Facilities include an outdoor playground for children.  Served by the local Hereford / Ross bus.

The Eagle Inn

Andy and Maria Gooding would like to welcome you to The Eagle Inn, which is situated in Broad Street in the centre of the historic market town of Ross-on-Wye.  Since taking on this lovely pub in April 2011, Andy and Maria have worked hard to transform this once run down venue into a warm, friendly inn which has quickly become very popular with locals and visitors alike.  The Eagle Inn has all you would want from a traditional pub with a modern feel, from lovely home cooked food to a great range of beverages and families are welcome.  Our pub is: -

The Mill Race - Walford

We source our produce from some of the best local suppliers and use produce from our own farm.

The New Harp Inn - Hoarwithy

Welcome to The New Harp Inn, The New harp is a real true country pub, portraying a country pub the way it should be. We are situated in Hoarwithy less than 1/2 a mile from the river Wye, which is popular with canoeists, ramblers, cyclists and dog walkers a like. The New Harp is run by Belinda and Adrian, Belinda runs front of House, whilst her husband Adrian conjures up culinary delights from within his kitchen.
Here at the harp the style of food that we produce can only be described as fresh and rustic, produced classically and with a modern twist. Adrian having been a chef for the past 20 yrs, and a mastercraftmen from the Craft guild of Chefs.
whilst Belinda can turn her hand to anything, you can always be assured of a warm welcome and their slogan “Kids, Dogs and muddy boots all welcome“.
We serve real ales, Ciders and lagers on Draught, and have an excellent selection of beers available from our beer list and we also carry a wide selection of whiskeys from around the world, and of course a good selection of wines and soft drinks.

The Riverside Inn



Helen and Malcolm would like to welcome you to The Riverside Inn, a newly refurbished inn set in beautiful surroundings on the banks of the River Wye. The Riverside is an ideal place to stop, rest and enjoy a meal, afternoon tea or a refreshing drink.

As well as being next to the delightful River Wye, The Riverside is a five minute walk from the historic market town centre of Ross-on-Wye and is also close to places of scenic and historic interest in Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and Monmouthshire, making it a good place to use as a base. The Riverside is just yards away from a canoe launch making it a convenient stop over for those travelling via the river and is ideally situated for those who enjoy rambling or cycling.

The clean and comfortable accommodation at The Riverside Inn comprises two family rooms and one double room, all of which are en suite with shower.  Food at The Riverside Inn is served all day from 12 Noon and there is something for everyone to enjoy on the Inn's menu of home cooked and locally produced dishes.  There is plenty of dining room at The Riverside Inn as the restaurant can seat up to 26 persons with seating for a further 250 people outside.
