The Ramblers promotes walking in the countryside, protects footpaths and other rights of way, and defends the beauty of the countryside.
In the UK we have over 130,000 members in 54 areas and over 450 local groups.
In Herefordshire we have four groups:Hereford, Ross, Mortimer and Leadon Vale.  We run  a combined walks programme.
We offer a wide variety of walks from two to 15 miles in all parts of the county and beyond.

Ross & District Walking Group

Ross & District Walking Group has been going for 25 years and currently have over 100 members. Typically walks take place twice a week and range from 3 to 10 miles and from easy to hard.
The rendevous is Wilton car park (unless stated otherwise) and members share cars to get to the start point of the walk. Therefore, you don't need a car, just turn up about 15 minutes before the 'leave' time shown in the programme. We always stop for a coffee break and mostly have either a picnic or pub lunch. The size of individual groups varies but is usually 8 to 20 walkers. Unfortunately dogs are not allowed on the walks. In addition to regular walks the group meets once a year for an annual dinner and there is usually at least one walking weekend away somewhere each year.
